Source: Stern review on the economics of climate change, 2006.The latest research by climatologists suggests that the atmospheric concentration of CO2 must be stabilized at 450 parts per million (ppm) in order to avoid the most serious impacts of climate change. The graphic above illustrates the reductions in GHG emissions that must occur to reach this stabilization.
